His research led to the publication of a technique that identifies stable anatomical landmarks to accurately orient dental casts on the jaw's natural hinge axis—providing clinicians with a more precise starting point for diagnosis, treatment planning, and restorative dentistry.

If the hinges are perfectly positioned, the door opens and closes effortlessly for years.

If the hinges are even slightly misaligned, the door may still close—but it rubs, sticks, squeaks, and requires repeated adjustments.
